“My work is about light, patterns & perception.
I love creating work that makes you pause in your steps. Activate people's imagination. And ultimately ask the question: how was this done? And with what?
I also just want to spread some love, joy and colour in the world. If you walk away from my art with a smile then I have done something right."
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Paris (1976), initially receiving a IBFAD in Fine Art and Art History in Brussels, she has a BFA from SCAD in graphic design & photography, and went back to fine art full time in 2016.

Using paper as a prototyping medium, Caro explore structures and patterns that inspires her through walks and discovery about nature and its happenance. She researches and explores how far she can go with paper making, screenprinting, different types of inks and how these different approaches affects the paper and of course the final outcome as large scale metal sculptures.

Caro’s multicultural background has drawn her to research Latino Kinetic Art and the history of pattern making and its use of vibrant colours. Fluorescent colours are the most natural colours on earth and they occur in so many places in nature. This really excites and inspires her. This vibrant colour palette also brings hope in her exploration of her own life living with chronic illnesses.

Caro works fulltime from her studio in East London most days when it comes to smaller pieces.

She is also currently doing an ongoing residency and apprenticeship with Sculptor Julian Wild at their school Cement Art in Newhaven, where she is developing welding skills using stainless steel and other more robust materials.
Her aim is to start producing pieces on a larger scale in order to leave a more lasting legacy.
Caro is a regular on the London exhibition scene and her work can be found in various private collections and institutions worldwide as well as a number of galleries in the UK and selling at international art fairs.

She was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2023, has exhibited at The London Design Museum, the Wellcome Collection, recently had her latest solo show in Greenwich in 2025, and ING Discerning Eye 2025 at the Mall Galleries.
“Paper and metal are both natural materials that speak to me in ways no other creative media ever has. There is something very special about working with media that has memory, that retains what you do to it and “scars” similarly to the human body. This really resonates with me. I feel honoured combining my ideas with such powerful entities. With my work, I am trying to express something about the contradiction between the natural organic world, and the more structured urban scenes I have always found myself attracted to. Each piece reflects upon our short existance on this earth and the resilience we all have to survive and carry on with life with a positive outlook...”
